She liked things in order.
Tidiness made her brain happy.
Emotions were a messy business.
To be felt by  complicated people.

She began to realise the repression.
O the discomfort.
Life was simpler before.

Every thought and feeling
Flowed with an undercurrent of you.
She wanted to revert back.
Shove it away.

She rationalised the emotion.
It was because she couldn’t have you.
But deep down she knew.
O the fear.

Life is simpler without you.
