Deconstruction.

When you spend years carefully constructing falsehoods in which you can believe.

The burden of truth is too unbearable and so…it is easier to keep investing in the lies. They seem small and insignificant. It’s not that hard, you tell yourself.

Yet giving away small pieces of yourself is like wiping off tiny layers of your beauty. At some point, you are no longer beautiful. You are no longer you…you comprised yourself away and turned into someone less credible.

Your world comes crashing down and the risk is that you will never be able to fully repair those layers. You won’t be the same. You will have lost your essence; how will you ever trust again.

There’s always time to rebuild. Learn to trust yourself. Listen to yourself. There’s a tiny voice in there that will not rest. Not ever.
